JOB TITLE: Chairman

RESPONSIBLE TO: The Committee/Club Members

SKILLS REQUIRED:

MAIN DUTIES:

1) To provide direction for the club by effective leadership and management

2) To chair and control meetings of the committee

3) To represent the club at external meetings when required

4) To act as principal officer within the club, and make decisions whenever the need arises, in consultation with the other committee officers when appropriate

5) To be involved, where appropriate, in the co-ordination of club activities

6) To present the club’s annual report, in association with the club secretary

7) To present the club’s annual accounts, in association with the club treasurer

8) To determine the content and agenda for club meetings in association with the club secretary

9) To work with other committee members to ensure club statutory documents and other returns are administered and filled on time

10) To advise the treasurer on the use and investment of club funds

11) To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy & ASA Code of Ethics
