The British Gas ASA
National Age Group Championships (50m) and the British Gas ASA National Youth
Championships (50m)
The swimming stars of Cleethorpes &
Scunthorpe Aquatics (CASA) have yet again demonstrated
their growing reputation in the water with seven swimmers qualifying for the
ASA National Age Group and Youth Championships this year in a total of twenty
events. Leah Altoft amassing a fabulous total of 8 of these swims.
The National Championships represent
the pinnacle of competitive swimming for the younger swimmers and the
qualifying times are extremely difficult to achieve. Anyone involved in competitive swimming will
understand how big an achievement this is and it is further evidence of the
progress CASA has made. If swimmers swim well at these championships they have
opportunities to be selected for camps and also to compete for their country.
