If the close second places had gone the other way it could have been a totally different outcome as it was Vulcan's managed to secure top spot by 43 points which meant the deficit had been halved from last years final.

CASA Coach Nathan Hilton said “What a great night for swimming in North East Lincolnshire we are showing that we can compete with the best now. Some of the swims this evening were outstanding and if we carry on, on this track we will hopefully be even closer next year.
A special mention must go to the 12 year old girls who managed to win both relay events and one of there individuals and come second in the other three individuals. What a great performance.
The joint venture with Scunthorpe has really taken off and we are providing the best opportunities for swimmers in the area now and challenging some of the best teams in the country. At present we have only been doing it for a year so this is only the start of things to come.”
